My wife and I are currently purchasing a nine unit apartment building NO Money Down. My question is what type qualifications should we look for in a custodian candidate. Were closing the deal July 30, so I want to have a custodian in place by September 1. Thank you for any and all replies.

Have the applicant sign a release (the police dept. may be able to help you there) as to “criminal history” and have HIM/ HER take it to all police statitons in your area to get a report on themselves, then bring it back to you, you will learn if they are a canidate or not by that, by itself.
Thats not all but I’ll let someone else take over from here.
Good Luck and get filthy stinkin rich in the landlord business, I sugest you and your wife learn all you can about #1 Federal Fair Housing laws, see HUD’S site for starters. You might want to check with Mr. Landlord.
