Zac - I agree that CS is a good course to begin with because it is easy to understand. It covers all the basics and if you are really GREEN the other courses can get confusing.

When you understand how REI really works - go for the other courses. Most of all - just study and read the stuff on this site. You will learn plenty.

Decide what method you feel ready to tackle and just get out and do it. Just be sure to do your homework first.

Best of luck!

Doris

PS - I am a newbie too.

Hi, everyone. Guess what? I just got a part time job with RGIS Inventory Specialists to support my REI hobby. I have been following this board and looking in the archives since 1998. In my spare time, I plan to study CS and other real estate books that I have acquired over the years( I cannot afford a course at this time.). Those archived messages mostly about CS got me pumped up and ready to go. One question though, Can some to the techniques in the CS course and other books be done without money, credit, banks, or partners like Ron LeGrand’s courses? I would appreciate your help.

Mario

No, the zero down techniques are just a crock. Their is fierce competition for property that is a good deal. These people pay cash forcing the zero down people out.

Zac. Turn off the caps. Its like shouting, to people on the site. CS’s course and Ron Legrand’s are like comparing a Yugo to a Cadillac. There is no comparison. CS is a starter course and has good info for that. Thats the course only, not the mentoring, which has doutfull money value from any Guru. Ron’s is a finisher’s course and has the advanced ideas. If you think you know nothing about R.E. and you think you just have to have a course to teach you, CS is a start in that direction. You would probably be better off to read everything on this site and others several times, including the articles on the side board and attend your local REIA meetings. When you feel you have sufficient knowledge, pick a course, if you must, and find one that specializes in the area of R.E that you feel most confortable. If you have any further questions, we would be glad to help. Just ask? If you really want to learn, we find that the best teacher is doing it and the School of Hard Knocks. Get your basic knowledge and just get out there and do it!

Thanx for tha reply…and sorry bout tha caps. Your suggestion is a wise one. I guess it’s like Nike (JUST DO IT). I wanna be informed as I can be when I get ready to set foot in the game. No sense going into something “dumb and blind”, right? Again, thanx a lot.
