What are the chances I can figure this out correctly. I usually do my own taxes, which only have rental properties and no busy forms. I exchanged two (2) properties into one property. I think I did everything right, but now it it time to do the paper work.

I did a 1031 exchange in 2003 and need help doing my taxes. I am looking either for a good reference how the forms that I need and or a referral to someone in the San Antonio area that is a CPA or tax preparer that is familiar with RE taxes. Can anyone help or provide some suggestions. I usually do my taxes, but want to make sure I get this correct. I exchanged two properties into one property.

Thanks

You need a Form 8824. Here’s a link to the fill-in form: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-fill/f8824.pdf . You
can find the form’s instructions on the IRS website.
