I assume your attorney made the sales agreement subject to the inspection. If so, you should be able to get out of the deal. You should not have to get estimates unless you are going to use them to negotiate a lower price.

In the future I would recommend you use another agent and attorney.

if i made an offer on a house and it was accepted but when i had the house inspected there were numerous problesm in cluding structural damages asbestos removal etc. Can i just get out of the contract if the seller does not make all the repairs prior to closing. i am using an attorney suggested by the real estate agent. he say i cant just get out of the deal over these things are are violations that would perclude the seller getting a certificate of occupancy. The attorney is telling me i have to get estatements for the cost to fix everything.

If your attorney did not include an inspection contingency in the contract, time to get ready to file malpractice against him. Normally you would send over a request for repairs listing everything you want done. If the seller refuses even one of these things you have an out.
