Most people are staying away from them right now due to the MBS crisis. That being said, we all know that when things are down, that is a good time to get deals. As far as the numbers you just quoted, someone is feeding you total nonsense. Even is this down climate, if a CMO pays you back in 12-15 years, you are lucky. Be sure you know how to read the screenshot and how to verify the CMO with DTC. If you would like to talk, I will be glad to give you some pointers on how to analyze them.

Does anyone have experience with purchasing CMO’s? I’m new to them. I’ve been looking at some of the returns, and they are pretty amazing. Some investors are able to recoup their capital in 30-days, and make 15% cash on cash returns.
