Most lenders will not release the funds to you. Make sure that you put your concerns in writing not only to the builder, but also to the lender and the agent holding the funds. You can also file a claim with the Better Business Bureau with a copy to the builder. Usually this will get the builder off his b*** and he will address the problems.
