Normally the county will not zone unless someone requests it or it is a part of their master plan.

Maybe one of your neighbors is seeking the rezoning to make $$$ from their land holdings.

I’d consult with a good real estate attorney to find out who had precedence…county or CC&R’s.

Our county rezoned 45 of us in Feb 2006 from R9600
[ 1/4 acre per house] to LDMR [higher density up, to 24 units per acre.]
Original development had CCR’s which prohibited such high density.
There has never been a homeowners assoc.: no officers, no bylaws,no meetings, no dues.
Can 30 year old CCR’s protect developers buying houses and putting in higher density ?
