Probably not. Your post does not give enough information. When did you make application with the lender? Have you given the lender all of the documentation the lender has asked for? Sometimes when lenders ask for documentation and they receive it, that documentation prompts the need for other documentation. What kinds of “excuses” is the lender giving you?

can I sue a lender? - Posted by Big Flippen

I have a contract to buy some property with ALOT of equity. I have very high credit scores and income. I’m going through a lender that promised that we would close before thanksgiving. My contract with the seller expired at the end of November but I got an extension until the end of this week. The lender has given me every excuse under the sun as to why we haven’t closed. I’ve just received a phone call from the lender who said that they need another 4 days to close. I know that the seller will not extend any more-there are cash buyers lined up behind me to get this deal. And he has said so. My question is can I sue this lender if they can’t close in time and I lose this deal? Thanks in advance
