We visited Montenegro in july & came close to buying an old ruined stone house on the seafront in Dobrota (near Kotor). Now feel undecided as to whether Montenegro is good investment or whether Croatia would be safer. Would be very interested to hear your views or share information. We were given the name of a local lawyer recommended by a Montenegran/ Candian couple who were renovating an old stone house.

Please can you let me have any advice on the lagalities of buying a house close to the sea in Montenegro for example anything specifically we should be wary about. Please can you confirm the normal procedure for purchase monies being passed to the vendors.
