Don’t know what that means, you got your agents license, is that a salespersons license or a brokers license?

I suspect with the level of your question it’s an salespersons license, in which case you are merely a buyer with an inactive real estate license which will be disclosed in your purchase contract.

Which also means you can tell the agent to present your offer the same as he is required to do with any other buyer, and if he doesn’t, you will advise the state dept of real estate in writting of his failure, and at the same time go and present it to the sellers directly, which is definitely something he would not want you to do. No law against presenting offers directly to sellers.

I just got my agent’s license, but I’m not part of a brokerage. I would like to represent myself (which I know is legal and I already have a decent amount of experience) and want to put an offer on a duplex in my area. I contacted the listing agent and told him that I would be representing myself and accepting zero commission. He said that he would not accept my offer. Is this legal? He doesn’t seem to be fairly representing his client. What he’s doing really doesn’t seem ethical. What should I do next contact his client? contact the DRE?
Thanks in advance.
