DON –

You never received copy of the seller’s signature on your purchase contract.

IMMEDIATELY … Contact the realtor’s broker or office manager.

First … the agent is required to follow up with you and provide you with copies of the seller’s response to your contract.

Sounds like they are agreeing at some time and moment that you and the seller were in agreement. Was escrow opened with a title company?

I made an offer on an investment house in a depressed area in Evansville, Indiana ($20,000). . .the seller ( a large investor) was on vacation and gave a verbal yes and signed the paperwork when he returned. . .I never received any paperwork and as this was a cash purchase, the closing should have been within a week. . . now the realtor calls me to say the seller can’t sell for this price, he owes more than the $20,000. . .if I sign this release, I will get back my deposit. . . the realtor told me that after I made my offer, he received an offer of $5,000 more. . .now they are squeezing me out. . .isn’t this illegal? . . .what would you do?
