Just looking at getting started myself, in Creedmoor NC. I’m starting my second readthrough of Deals on Wheels, and have started looking at the online newspaper real estate classifieds.

I plan on doing a little more research and have lots of questions, which I’m sure will require more reading. Lonnies 2nd book most likely

Then I’ll put together my business plan. I’m looking at this as a business (i’m keeping my current job for a while). So I’m starting work on my business plan.

Good luck in NC…
Robert

Hello All,
I was curious if anyone has done this in the states of
South or North Carolina? I was researching trading in
“paper”, and was informed by SC authorities that I must
qualify as a “Loan Broker”, involving among other things
posting a large bond. During my research is when I
literally stumbled across the “Lonnie Deal” method. It looks
GREAT! I am interested in the legal and tax ramifications of
doing a “Lonnie Deal” in these states. I already have a
small business, and have learned plenty about tax issues,
some the hard (wallet) way!
Thanks for any info, looking forward to a bright future
in this business.
