They work great? Had one in a new twin home and loved it, this was a split foyer floor plan with the heater in the lower level. I could turn off the furnace and keep the whole house warm in the dead of winter in South Dakota.

Has anyone had any problems with ventless free-standing gas heaters? The salesman said they create more moisture in the windows/etc. than vented units that send fumes through chimney. Anyways, just wanted to get your input. Thanks in advance, Jay(OR)

They are okay if you have an area that has moving air such as frequently opening doors etc. They will haze up the windows with a film from the gas. The fumes aren’t too bad and they do heat up a room. I have the simulated fireplace one in my office and it works great minus the above little things.
