I need to pick some brains for a moment. I am in the state of Illinois. I am familiar with the foreclosure process here. However, I have been contacted by a seller who would like to buy her property subject to the existing mortgage. She showed me the “Alias Mortgage Foreclosure Summons” she received a week ago. What is this? What’s with the word “alias”?
