3rd deal - seller is an attorney... - Posted by Matt - PA

so why take a change on a JEW? God knows how they will rip you off.

or a Black person. they’re gonna scream discrimination if anything goes wrong in the deal.

or an Irishman. temper, temper, temper.

the seller ALL of us need to worry about is the super-savvy REAL ESTATE INVESTOR who has 30 years in the biz, and wants to “lighten his load” or some other excuse for selling something. Beware. because this is the situation where you are most outgunned, outmuscled and “out-thinked.”

3rd deal - seller is an attorney… - Posted by Matt - PA

I am getting ready to meet with a seller who is interested in doing a lease/option with an investment property he owns and is trying to get rid of. While researching the seller, I noticed that he is an attorney who handles litigation. Should I be ok with doing the deal anyway or should I walk to find better deals? This is only my 3rd deal and the first L/O my company has done. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

lawyers come in all shapes and sizes. just like Black people or White people or Jews or Texans…

if your research demonstrates that this particular lawyer does a lot of suing AS A PLAINTIFF (as opposed to an attorney representing others), then you might have something to worry about.

I know at least 1000 lawyers, am one, as was my father and his father. out of this long list, I can name you about 3 pr!cks with whom you should never deal.

If you do not mind moving into the Lion’s den, then go ahead. I would not touch it with a ten foot pole.

Why take the chance. Go to the next one who is not a lawyer and therefore does not have an advantage over you.

Good advice Jimmy. I could probably add a couple to your list.

Good Luck,
