Here in Northern CA, they charge about $700 or $750. There are a bunch of them around, San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, and more. I used the phone disk searched the name of one I knew and got the industry code which I ran and found plenty of them. You can do the same for your are then call around and find a lower-cost one. zMany libraries have the phone disk, if you don’t. You may be able to do a search oin the internet.

You could use a company here in CA. Fax, telephone, express mail make it feasible.

Oh, if it is a “reverse exchange” this does not apply. Those are a lot more expensive.

Last time I checked with Chicago Title they were charging $1,000.00. It may depend on the amount of funds involved. There are private exchangers around who will do it for considerably less. Advertise or ask at your local REIA.

Kevin,

I don’t have any experiences in 1031 exchanges, but my stepmother use to work for a 1031 exchange company here in PA, and I believe they charged $1,100.

I’d go to apiexchange.com. There you’ll find a phone number. Give them a call.
